We are very excited for you and your students to use Be A Recorder Star! These Terms of Use and Service are designed to explain how the curriculum works and what rights are conveyed by your purchase. Be A Recorder Star is available in both a printed and online version. Except as provided below, Be A Recorder Star is not reproducible and is subject to all United States Copyright Laws. Reproduction includes not only the copying of printed pages but the projection or electronic transmission of the materials (ie. posting pages, making videos, transmitting images of the printed or digital book (including screenshots) through Google Classroom, Flipgrid, Zoom and any other platform that enables the transmission of the materials).
Teacher License:
The Teacher License is a 13-month site license that must be obtained by each school using the online version of Be A Recorder Star. The Teacher License authorizes the in person use of the digital version for classroom instruction for all recorder classes at the school. The Teacher License does not authorize the reproduction of the curriculum or the transmission of the curriculum for remote or home use by the students. Each student using the curriculum at home or a remote location must have an individual student access code. Student code package pricing is affordable and will entitle you to a free Teacher License when you purchase codes for all of your students!
Student Codes:
Student Codes must be purchased for any student who wishes to access the online version of Be A Recorder Star at home or at a location other than the school covered by the Teacher License. Student codes last for 13 months from the date of the invoice (longer than the school year) and enable access for two devices so that students may access a computer at school and at home or at more than one home location. Student codes are available by themselves or as part of a discounted code and recorder package. Multiyear codes and multiyear code packages are also available at a discounted price. Please note: the printed method book contains the same content as the student code but does not have the online features. The printed book may be added as part of a code and recorder package.
